Today Rosie Cooper MP watched the Olympic Torch travel through West Lancashire on its journey around the country.
“Eleven people have run through West Lancashire today with the Olympic torch, and hundreds of people lined the streets to watch them on their way.
“With just 56 days to go to the start of London 2012, the spirit of the Games has come to West Lancashire. It was fantastic to see the people of West Lancashire turn out to cheer on the torchbearers for what is a once in a lifetime spectacular.
“I am sure none of us will forget today.”
Earlier in the day Rosie had also taken part in a tree dedication at Park Pool to celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee.
