Rosie Cooper is supporting the O2 ‘It’s Your Community’ fund for local community projects in your area. The fund is open to applications from all members of the public and awards of up to £1000 are available to support projects which bring people together, generate a sense of pride, and improve their surroundings and environment.
Rosie said “I’ve met some fantastic community-minded people since becoming MP here in West Lancs and I would urge anyone with imagination and an idea that they think could make a difference to the lives of theirs and others then please get put it forward and apply for funding”.
To date O2 have granted around 800 projects to a wide range of community projects. Successful examples have included creating community spaces such as parks and gardens, removing graffiti, supporting personal safety campaigns for young people and self help groups for elderly people.
