Rosie rolled up her sleeves to help out at Barnardo’s shop in Wheatsheaf Walks and is encouraging West Lancashire people to do the same.

Rosie, MP for West Lancashire, said: “I was at Barnardo’s as part of CSV Make a Difference Day, the UK’s biggest day of ‘hands-on’ volunteering.

“Across the country, thousands of people took part, giving their time to make a positive impact on local communities, an I was doing my bit by helping out at Barnardo’s.

“I had a fabulous time with manager Diane Cliff and her team. The customers were warm and friendly and it was a real pleasure to help out.

“I would encourage as many people as possible to give an hour or two to helping out at the shop. It’s a really good cause and you will make lots of new friends while at the same time doing something positive for our community.

“If you are interested in doing what I did and give a few hours to help others, then call the shop on 01695 572962.”
