A new £150 million fund to be invested in community-led enterprises has been announced by the Big Lottery Fund.
MP Rosie Cooper is encouraging local community enterprises in West Lancashire to apply for the funding which is available from next autumn. This funding will help support the activities local community champions and enterprises are delivering to make a difference in communities across West Lancashire.
Power to Change is jointly supported by Trinity Mirror Group and the National Lottery, and will support community champions through this new fund. Projects including local fruit and veg delivery schemes or community football clubs have been supported to date.
MP Rosie said:
“Local communities are taking the initiative to find solutions for their areas and for their neighbours. This Power to Change fund recognises how community enterprises need support to keep making a difference.
“From being out and about in West Lancashire I know there are plenty of fantastic community-based organisations that would benefit from such support. I would encourage all such groups to apply to this fund.”
