In response to the Lancashire County Council elections, West Lancashire MP Rosie Cooper said:
“Here in West Lancashire Labour delivered great results in which we gained three seats. It is disappointing that Labour didn’t quite gain enough seats to take overall control.
“These local results show certainly that the people of West Lancashire were not happy with the Conservative administration at County Hall where we’ve seen cuts and secrecy and the interests of local residents have not been the top priority.
“From the new administration people will want to see issues addressed from the condition of the roads, to improving transport provision, action and leadership on flooding and greater openness on One Connect Limited and the services it is being paid to provide.”
