West Lancashire MP Rosie Cooper said:
“Following the acquisition of the Lloyds TSB branches there is much change happening within the Co-Operative Bank. Therefore, I am delighted that they have publicly stated their commitment to their operations remaining in Skelmersdale. I know from the good working relationship I have with the company how much of a difference they make in the town and across West Lancashire. They provide good quality job opportunities as well as working with and supporting significant community projects.
“Whilst it is disappointing that they are not progressing the new offices in the town centre at this time, it will not affect the progress of phase 1 of the town centre redevelopment.”
