West Lancashire MP Rosie Cooper said:
“This is an academic view of potential changes and joins other speculation about how the West Lancashire constituency may change. The Electoral Commission will publish their initial views in the autumn. It is far too early to speculate on the result of any future changes, indeed nobody predicted that I would retain the seat at the last general election with a majority of over 4000.
“My focus and priority remains fighting for the people of West Lancashire against these vicious and savage cuts from the Conservative-led Government and the Conservative-run Borough and County Councils that are aimed at the most vulnerable within our communities.
“Whatever the West Lancashire constituency looks like at the next general election I will fight hard in the best interests of all residents. In the end the voters of West Lancashire will choose the best person for the job.”
