West Lancashire MP Rosie Cooper:
“We owe these ladies a huge debt of gratitude for their service to our country. It was a real privilege and honour to have had the opportunity to meet Elizabeth, Joyce and Nanette and to present them with their much deserved and hard earned veterans’ badges.
“I hope they will each be wearing their badges as an acknowledgement that we as a society and as a community recognise what they did for us by serving in our armed forces.
“They are an example to all of us. The sacrifices they made in our name should be honoured by us not wasting those freedoms that we enjoy today.”
Aughton Park Care Home Manager, Michelle Morris said:
“I am delighted that Elizabeth, Joyce and Nanette received their veteran’s badges, especially on Remembrance Day. They deserve to have their service to our country recognised. I want to thank our MP Rosie Cooper for presenting the ladies with the badges.
“Everyone at Aughton Park Care Home is very proud of these three ladies. It was certainly a day that we will all remember for a long time.”
