Working hard for the people of West Lancashire

21/03/14 - 10 days remain for Rock the House entries

With just 10 days to go for Rock the House and Film the House entries West Lancashire MP Rosie Cooper is encouraging budding musicians and film makers to get their entries in.

Rock the House and Film the House competitions offer the opportunity for creatives to have their work judged by the leading lights of the industry and win prizes ranging from festival slots, studio time, equipment and the opportunity to have their work premiered in London’s West End.

MP Rosie Cooper said:

“With the closing date fast approaching musicians and film makers from West Lancashire should take advantage of this fantastic opportunity, which may give them the chance they need to enter such a competitive industry.

“Don’t miss out on what could be your big break.

“We have had many entrants from across West Lancashire over the past few years and I would encourage all aspiring musicians and film makers to take advantage of this opportunity."

Patron, Brian May (Queen):
“It is a great honour to back Rock the House. The UK is a hotbed of musical talent from all
genres, and if the British music industry is going to grow and thrive then musicians need to be able to make a living from selling their product. This competition gives all musicians, from all backgrounds the chance to get out there and make live music – one of the things Brits do best.”

Closing date for entries 31st March 2014
