Rosie Cooper has received assurances from Persimmon Homes that Ainscough’s Mill in Mill Lane, Burscough, will be tidied up.

It comes after Rosie received complaints from angry residents that the property had deteriorated and that rubble is strewn across the site.

Rosie Cooper MP said: “It was described to me as a ‘hideous desert of crushed brick and concrete’ so I am glad Persimmon has now undertaken to clean the site up.

“There were also concerns about a footpath where there are overgrown hedges/shrubs I have been assured that they are going to be cut back, so as to give a clear line of passage.

“Local residents are quite rightly concerned about the state of the area so I have also asked the council to investigate and they have agreed to report back after inspecting the area so I will be keeping residents informed.”
