In response to the news there is £6 million of Child Support monies owed in West Lancashire West Lancashire MP Rosie Cooper said:

"It is unacceptable that so much money is outstanding to children in West Lancashire. Parents have an obligation to support their children and it is a sad reflection that I deal with so many CSA cases, working with parents and the Child Support Agency. Ultimately it is the children in these cases that suffer, which is simply wrong."

"I have also written to the Minister and Child Support Agency to ask what further action can be taken to ensure that this money is being paid to ensure that children are not losing out."
