Rosie Cooper MP said of Mo Mowlam:
“I am extremely saddened by the death of Mo Mowlam, she will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to have known her. I will always remember Mo’s personal support when I was seeking selection as the Labour Party candidate in West Lancashire. This meant a great deal to me. Mo was certainly a fighter, immensely strong willed, her determination encouraged me to fight and never give up."
"Mo will be remembered most for her work to build peace in Northern Ireland. In many respects she is the architect of the peace we now have and will be her legacy. I’ll never forget the television pictures of Mo walking into the infamous Maze prison to speak with the paramilitary prisoners. She was certainly never afraid to be bold and take risks. I think this is one of the traits that made Mo unique, certainly as a politician."
"Above all else Mo Mowlam was fun, thoughtful, caring and compassionate, a fantastic human being. A person we are all lucky to have known."
