West Lancashire MP Rosie Cooper held a meeting with West Lancashire CWU representatives from Skelmersdale on the future of Royal Mail.
MP Rosie said:
“It was a real pleasure to meet the West Lancashire CWU representatives as part of the lobby on Royal Mail. Our discussions were positive and constructive; and we agreed there is a need to retain a universal postal service that is not privatised but does need to be modernised.”
“Our discussion also raised some specific local issues that I will pursue.
“As an MP I have always campaigned for a strong and viable Post Office Network and Royal Mail service; such as the fight to secure the future of Newburgh Post Office and to retain the Post Office Card Account.”
