Rosie Cooper joined Mrs Heslegrave and other West Lancashire constituents in handing in the petition to Number 10.
“I was delighted to welcome Mrs Heslegrave to London and that we were able to present the petition to Number 10.”
“The original Shields decision was the wrong decision for this area. I am absolutely sure the A&E is in the wrong place. But I fear that current medical practice and decisions of the Royal Medical Colleges already taken mean this will be a huge mountain to climb.”
It was a successful visit in which Rosie and Mrs Heslegrave were interviewed for Granada Reports in Downing Street. Rosie then escorted the party back to Parliament for a tour of the House of Commons and the House of Lords.
