Rosie Cooper MP

Working hard for the people of West Lancashire

On hearing the news of St Richards being named Sunday Times State Primary School of the Year, local MP Rosie Cooper said:

“I want to offer my personal congratulations to all the children, parents, teachers and Mr Holden, the head teacher, for what they achieved in being awarded this accolade. To be named Sunday Times State Primary School of the Year is an enormous testament to the progress the school is making year on year.”

“As the Member of Parliament for West Lancashire I am extremely proud a Skelmersdale school has earned this award. It just shows the high standards and achievement of pupils we have in our local schools. This can only be a good thing for the future of West Lancashire."
