Rosie Cooper MP said: "I have been in contact with the Ministry of Justice and Government Office North West over Southport Road, Scarisbrick appearing on the potential sites list. I have been given clear and definite assurances there are no plans for any prison to be built on this site. Justice Minister, Jack Straw, announced on Monday in the House of Commons two sites in the South East." | |
