West Lancashire MP Rosie Cooper welcomed a successful MotorFest saying:
"I’m delighted that the 2012 MotorFest proved to be just as, if not more, successful than last year in bringing people into Ormskirk town centre for a Sunday of fun. An event of this kind can offer a real boost to the town centre and the local shops, at a time they very much need it.
"I know from speaking to local businesses that they are keen to get involved and support this local event. Judging from some of the emails and letters I’ve received there is even more that could be achieved with this event if there was better planning and organisation.
“MotorFest is an example of what can be done to encourage people to visit West Lancashire and to spend time and money on the local high street, but the Council also needs to thoroughly analyse the event, see what can be done better and ensure that the Council taxpayers are getting the maximum value for their money.”
