West Lancashire MP Rosie Cooper enjoyed meeting local small business Holt Green Training in Aughton last week. Rosie visited the company to find out about the great contribution they, and other Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, make towards the UK economy and the problems they are currently facing. Holt Green Training is a training company specialising in Business, management and leadership and the Health Care sector.

Rosie said:

“It was a real pleasure to meet with Nicola, Steph and Jim of Holt Green Training in Aughton. It was great to spend time with them, learning about the quality training they provide in health & social care and management.

“As I've said previously, the provision of social care is one of the biggest challenges facing us as communities and as a society. To have a greater insight into the work companies such as Holt Green Training do is invaluable.

“I very much look forward to taking forward my positive experience from the meeting and to support Holt Green Training and other companies in West Lancashire.”

After the visit on Friday, MD of Holt Green, Steph Molden, said: “It was great to meet Rosie and explain the challenges we currently face in the training sector. Being able to highlight the specific issues we face in West Lancashire – particularly around funding and overall support in growing a business prompted an insightful discussion.

“We are now pursuing a number of ideas Rosie has committed to supporting.”

Rosie will be keeping in touch with Holt Green Training and is keen to continue supporting businesses across the area.

She added:

“Local businesses are the heartbeat of the local economy and occupy a special place in our communities. I feel very strongly that local businesses ought to be supported and will do everything I can to ensure that business in West Lancashire are given all the help and support they need.”
