New home for Burscough Dynamo FC after six year search

IMG_6877.JPGResponding to the announcement that Burscough Dynamo F.C. has finalised its 25-year lease for the Thomas Galvin Sports Ground at Abbey Lane in Burscough, West Lancashire MP Rosie Cooper said:

“Its three and a half years since I met with representatives of Burscough Dynamo on the unplayable and waterlogged pitches at Abbey Lane to discuss them taking over responsibility for the facility so they could get back playing football in Burscough.

“This announcement marks then end of those years of hard work and the start of a new future for the sports pitches.  Kids in Burscough can now get back to playing football and other sports whatever the weather for many years to come.

“As Burscough Dynamo FC take charge of the sport pitches it brings vital investment in the pitches, addressing the draining and maintenance problems that prevented teams from using the pitches in the past.

“I wish Burscough Dynamo F.C. all the very best for the future at their new home and encourage all other local community sports clubs to consider supporting their work by using the facilities.”
