West Lancashire MP Rosie Cooper has backed 4Children’s campaign to make children a priority this year, giving her support to the charity’s manifesto, ‘Choose to Make Britain Great for Children and Families’.
The manifesto launched this year to mark 4Children’s 30th anniversary. The organisation aims to bring positive change for children and families across Britain, through improving family support and providing better childcare.
Investing in Early Years is also key, campaigning for more support that helps children develop and learn, as well as safe places to play, learn, discover and make friends – from after school and holiday clubs to Scouts, Brownies and Guides.
MP Rosie said:
“I am delighted to support the campaign by 4Children to ensure we are looking after all groups in our society, including our children.
“Investing in those working in Early Years services is vital to ensure our children are provided with support they need to live and enjoy a great childhood.
“Transforming the lives of vulnerable families is another important direction of this manifesto, with an estimated half a million families in Britain being highly vulnerable with complex and multiple needs.”
