Under the Conservatives childcare costs have risen by 30%.  For some families the costs of childcare are so high they can't afford to go to work.

To support families Labour will provide 25 hours of free childcare each week to working parents of 3 to 4 year olds.

Labour will also cut taxes for 24 million working people through a new lower starting rate of tax reversing the Conservatives unfair tax cut for millionaires.

Labour will also raise the minimum wage to £8 per hour by 2020 ensuring that hard work is matched by fair pay
