Rosie Cooper MP has received assurances from Arriva that ticket price differences for same journey have been sorted.

MP Rosie contacted Arriva Merseyside after complaints that a resident used the 311 service which cost £2.10 then used 395 services for return on the same route costing £2.40.

Arriva Merseyside in relation to these claims confirms that there was a variation in price on the two routes over common sections. This variation was down to an error on their part. Arriva have also confirmed that they have corrected this error so that both services have the same fare over common sections of the route. Arriva claim that the mistake was simply down to human error as the wrong fare was imputed into the system.  

Rosie Cooper said:

“I welcome Arriva’s actions to put right their mistake on the ticket price discrepancies.

“If any other passengers were affected by this overcharging I would encourage them to contact me.

“It is only through passengers highlighting these issues that they can be resolved for the benefit of those using local bus services.”
