West Lancashire MP Rosie Cooper said:
“Across the country police forces often have gun and knife amnesties to help make our streets safer.
“It seems inconsistent and contradictory to me that we have a serving police officer who is allegedly involved in the sale of knives and replica guns.
“These are the exact items the police are supposed to be keeping off our streets.
“As we know gun and knife crime has a devastating impact on victims, their families and entire communities.”
