Rosie Cooper MP has praised the work of West Lancashire Citizens Advice, a vital front line service that supports people to overcome the challenges they face.
Last year Citizens Advice helped people in West Lancashire with 7,662 problems. The top five most common problems were:
- Benefits/Tax Credits
New evidence shows 78% of Citizens Advice clients said they wouldn’t have been able to solve their problem without the help they received from their local service.

“West Lancashire Citizens Advice is a really important service that provides people with the help they need. As the local MP I am acutely aware of how issues such as debt, housing and access to benefits affect people in the area. I will continue to work closely with West Lancashire Citizens Advice to tackle these problems head on.”
