Following the statement issued this afternoon by Southport and Ormskirk NHS Trust, West Lancashire MP, Rosie Cooper commented on the issue.
Ms Cooper MP said:
“We now know the general nature of the whistleblowers allegations but disappointingly we still have no real detail. My constituents have been worried about the both the cost and the length of time this investigation has taken.
“NHS England and NHS Improvement should now look at the required process to see whether the conclusions could have been reached more quickly, after all every day of the investigation costs the NHS money which would have been better spent on patient care, but that was in itself better than doing what the NHS usually does move the problem on.”
