West Lancashire MP Rosie Cooper is encouraging constituents to check their washing machine models following Whirlpool’s recall programme at the end of last year.
In December, Whirlpool alerted customers to a safety risk concerning certain models of Hotpoint and Indesit washing machines and MP Rosie has recently been approached by Whirlpool to assist in raising awareness of this recall.
Owners of Hotpoint and Indesit washing machines purchased since 2014 are asked to contact Whirlpool immediately to check if their washing machine is one of the models affected.
Commenting, Rosie Cooper MP said:
“Constituents in West Lancashire can instantly check if they have an affected washing machine by visiting the dedicated website at https://washingmachinerecall.whirlpool.co.uk/ or by phoning 0800 316 1442.
“Whirlpool are advising owners of any affected models to immediately unplug their washing machines and have stated that they will replace any affected washing machine free of charge.
“We should all help to spread the vital information to ensure the safety of customers across the country.”
