West Lancashire MP Rosie Cooper has secured a commitment from Lancashire County Council’s Highways Director for speed signage in Roby Mill.
Following concerns raised by local residents about speeding through Roby Mill and the number of unfortunate animal deaths, MP Rosie approached both LCC and Lancashire Constabulary.
Rosie Cooper MP commented:
“Residents of Roby Mill shared with me their concerns about the level of speeding through the area and sought my support in getting action from the authorities.
“I am pleased that the Highways Director at Lancashire County Council has investigated the matter and now committed to prioritising the instalment of temporary signage to help remind drivers about their speed through this 30mph section on Stoney Brow.
“I will continue to work with residents and the relevant agencies to ensure the speeding problems here are addressed.”
