West Lancashire MP Rosie Cooper has confirmed that Lancashire County Council will be installing wooden bollards along Ruff Lane, Ormskirk to prevent inconsiderate parking which damaged the grass verges.
Residents of Ruff Lane and the surrounding area have consistently asked for the Council to take action on cars parked in restricted areas on the narrow road, damaging the grass. After Rosie raised these concerns with LCC, the Council have confirmed that they will be completing extensive bollard installation along the road by the end of March.
Rosie Cooper MP commented:
“This will be welcome news for the residents of Ruff Lane that have been asking for action from the Council for years.
“Cars often park in the restricted areas and on grass verges on the road, but with limited resources the Police and the Council have struggled to prevent this.
“These bollards should deter inconsiderate parking and allow the Council to also reseed the grass on the verges.“
