West Lancashire MP Rosie Cooper is encouraging her constituents to take part in the Liverpool City Region consultation on a significant reduction to the 310 bus service that runs from Skelmersdale, through Ormskirk and to Liverpool.

The proposed change is to reduce the service from running every 30 minutes, to once an hour. The consultation ends on 10 July.

Rosie Cooper MP commented:
“I strongly encourage everyone to respond to this consultation immediately, or risk having this vital bus service reduced to one bus an hour!

“That Liverpool City Region are even considering this is just unbelievable. This change may save them money, but further isolates the people of Skelmersdale.

“This is just further proof that combined authorities like Liverpool City Region don’t care enough about peripheral communities.

“Tell them what you think and let them know that this is simply not good enough and that West Lancashire will not accept being repeatedly left out and excluded. We need buses and trains so that we can be a part of 21st century Britain”
